I really love the gilligs and crowns, but I'm too tall and really wanted something closer to 30'. I finally bought a bus, but I can't quite stop the search!

Damn...you're 30' tall?
I get you, though...and I'm a sucker for a nice vintage bus.

Someone got a deal
Pays to shop off the wall auctions. Some bid and won this 2000 C215 International engine with an Allison MD3060 for $220.

Feel like I'm letting the cat out of the bag here but they have 7 PAGES of used buses, so I thought someone here might appreciate...
Cardinal Bus Sales in Lima OH. I even saw a 1982 Wayne with a 466 (definitely not the "E" if it's that old!) and I believe a Carpenter with a 444, as well as lots of good pre-2007 stuff...5.9, 8.3, etc. FYI they list 5.9 as "ISB" engine.
Last time I called them about a couple buses they didn't know a whole lot about them when it came to transmission details ("Allison" is all I got) but they only wanted like $2k for a '00 AmTran at the time so I imagine their prices are still pretty good.

Most new bus dealerships don't even take the time to list used inventory, that page has been blank for a long time. Mine just relies on walk ins or the sales guys have a list of people they call that come and pick them up for scrap prices.

The page I linked has a button to download a PDF of their current inventory, which is nice. It's not always 100% accurate but it's a starting point at least.
There's also a guy named Ian Ruck in Columbus, OH who works at Rush Truck Center (IC bus dealer), he's always promoting buses he has for sale on Facebook. I bought my bus from him in fact! Not "auction cheap", but in my case I was a little bit impatient, and preferred to go see the bus in person with a friend of mine that knows big trucks rather than taking a chance on an auction. No disrespect to those who have done long distance auction buys, it just wasn't the right way to go for me!

Hi All:
Here is an auction of (12) 2004 Gilligs in Kingston PA ( right next to Wilkes-Barre )
Why they never got rid of the dash in that city, making it Wilkesbarre, I don't know - or just choose one: Wilkes or Barre! But I digress...
https://www.allsurplus.com/transport...yName=Kingston
I know some people like the Gillig, ( maybe the cool palindrome name has something to do with that ) so thought I would do the kindness of posting the auction.
You've got two days and 12 chances to score it big!
Jay

Non-affiliated buses for sale - thread
There’s a GORGEOUS, seemingly immaculate, 315k miles, 2007 40 foot Gillig for sale in Vegas.
$20k from a dealer. Oh I’d kill for that one.
