1966 Gillig on FB marketplace
Saw an old Gillig on FB marketplace. It's located in Ellensburg (central WA) and listed for $3500. It's a gasser, so not a great long-distance rig unless your a millionaire.
Here's the text from the seller:
1966 Gillig School bus
I’m not in a hurry to sell this as I’m quite fond of it. However I have a lot of other things going on the are currently more important.
I do have several cool ideas and plans for it that I don’t know when I can get to so it’s time to So it’s time to let someone else enjoy it
Strong running 537 cubic inch Ford V8
If your plans are to travel it would be wise to repower it as it gets a wapping 3 mpg
If not it’s cool and rare the way it is
It’s fun to drive and turns grate for a bus
Front brakes are stuck on Slippery condition setting so it takes a bit of time to stop
I’ll help fix that
If you wish to make a cool retro schoolie I’d be delighted to help as that was one of my plans. I just don’t have the extra money to invest in the project right now
You could have an amazing home for 15 to 25 thousand depending in depending on your budget
Thanks for your interest
It’s currently located in Ellensburg and I’m out of Everett

At $3500? Seems a very fair price to me. Not that I'd buy it, of course, but for somebody who likes rare buses it could be a great deal. I'd wager that this is the cheapest (supposedly) running old Gillig on the market right now.

I love those classics. Seems pretty well preserved for its age.
A modern repower and a bit of elbow grease and this would be a good one.

Another cute old bus for sale, this time a shortie in the Idaho panhandle. I highly doubt it runs, but it sure is purrdy.

I am interested in this bus and was wondering what you all thought about it. I am unsure about the motor whether it is good or not. Also not sure if I need to ask any questions to determine the transmission or what else to ask?
Any help appreciated

1978 Crown
The ad for this bus is very vague, but since Crowns are so rare, I thought I'd post it here anyway in case somebody is interested:

Aaaaaand another one. This is a Super II with an asking price that would have been crazy high 5 years ago, but is not so crazy at the moment.

Interesting Find
I was revisiting an auction site and found a desirable bus at a good starting price. I own a bus, but someone else might like it.

Saw this nice little bus on E-Bay, seems rust free and low miles.

Some school district near Jefferson City, MO has 4 buses up for auction right now on Purplewave, bidding ends Nov29. They have 3 IC CE300s and a Bluebird.
Of the ICs, two are pre-maxxforce DT466e's... of particular interest is this one:
https://www.purplewave.com/auction/2...s-Bus-Missouri
It's been mislabelled as a 2008 maxxforce, but its build date is 10/2006 and the engine is clearly blue... so it might not get many bids if you're looking for a 40 foot conventional.

4.10 rear axle, too. Cracked windshield and a brake warning light. But the wood interior is lovely!
