The kids would love it, too. It's an obvious win-win and I'm surprised it hasn't been implemented yet.

All of the methanol fueled buses were re-fueled a long time ago.
The methanol fuel just didn't work in a bus.
I don't think the experiment even lasted two years.
Among the problems is they had a couple of the buses burn to the ground. Fortunately no one was hurt. But methanol is VERY flammable, volatile, and somewhat unstable particularly when compared to diesel fuel.

I'm sure they would like it more than the compactor, at least.

1993 International 3700 Oak Harbor WA

Not mine of course, but these Internationals do show up at odd times and I always kinda liked them. This is the first time I have seen one with 2 doors on the passenger side, both look to have the slide out stairs, and they always seem to have a full size drivers door. Bookmobiles? Mobile doctor offices? I dunno what they were built for, they also seem to show up gutted and ready for the next owner.

Note the 8'6" x 8'6" interior space, thats over a foot taller than my HPO and gotta be worth consideration

Have you seen this bus??

Hey all,

I live in SW CO and have had the bus bug for a while, but never really pursued one. A few years back there was an awesome green 4x4 International for sale near Steamboat, CO I almost picked up, but the time wasn’t right. I recently found an old post that looked very similar. Has anyone seen this bus or know what its fate was? This looks like Creasted Butte to me if I had to guess.

89 Crown Super II

Cummins 8.3 Crown Super II in Portland, OR. I get the feeling it hasn't been maintained in a while, but the rear engine arrangement, "retarder" switch on the dash, and fact that it's a Crown means it could be a good buy for someone...

8.3's are nice but I honestly thought all those came with Detroits. Learn something new everyday.
Never seen a Crown in person. They're rare as hens teeth over here. Our schools were buying Vistas lol.
