Salvage yards are full of parts for trucks and vans is this range. Older Chrysler V8 engines are easy to work on and everybody and his brother can work on them too. New stuff not so much. You need a degree in computer science just to hook em up to a computer so it will tell you what the buzzer and beep means. hahaha

IDK but the one you had was a better buy than that ebay one, imho.

That has LOTS of potential and with most of the living arrangements already done all you'd need is to just move in. Pretty it up later. Hoss of an engine. I once was thinking about something similar. Could maybe pick up an old enclosed trailer to convert to your towed bathroom. It would pull a trailer like nothing was back there.

East, I think you liked my old bus more than I did. Lol. There are plenty of those on govdeals all the time.
If the 4 windows does not materialize, maybe I'll reconsider for a 5-6 window one.

Yeah, sometimes stealth is better!

Can you spot the bus in this picture?

But, this is not stealth camping.....

Mobile vet clinic bus '94 Bluebird with Cummins 8.3 and (according to Turf, who found it) a 4.10 rear end.

https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?f...36&acctid=7167

I would think that this would be a dandy start for a conversion: AC, generator, shore power, sink, bathroom, levelers...

Its rare one slips by that I haven't seen within an hour or two of it being listed. This one hit close to home and I HAD to put in my best bid.
Maybe no one else bids it up any higher or if they do maybe they don't pay and I'll get a "second chance" at it.
I'd take out a small loan for a machine like this one. And I very well may!

Gnome could use some help! Bus found in WA

https://moseslake.craigslist.org/cto/5926052152.html

Could anyone let me know what they think of this offer? Nice guy selling it. Buys/sells car on reg for added SSI income. Bus was recently acquired from school district in Washington (8months ago), and has full service reports. Used as a substitute bus and runs well. No rust supposedly.

What do I want to do with it? Convert it into a mobile boutique/living situation/workshop with a half cab of another vehicle attached to the top. Size is something to think about here, is it enough space for me? I believe it's probably a 25' long bus. Driving wise it'll be easier to move, living wise it could be small and tight. Any thoughts on what would be a good length for all this? Searching for ideas!

Listed in ad are some but also has these additional fixes:
starter 2011
injectors 03
turbo 2010
water pump 09
head gasket 2010

Price is slightly negotiable too, but he says he's been getting that price for them. Seems high to me but for this size, it's not easy to find them. It has all the specs I want though: motor, transmission, body/chassis combo.

Miles seem high as well, but everything's been so well maintained that I don't think it makes the biggest difference. Any thoughts?
