They won't get these buses for free. I'll go to at least $3500.

S4K - $6K at least. As soon as ppl find out it's an 8.3 Cummins with desirable gearing and a clean body, bidding is gonna go bonkers.

Personally, I'm saving the $6k bids for buses under 100k miles, high roof, 90 pax, big engine, RE, proper trannies, and short gear ratios. I.e. My "perfect" bus. These two are missing the first 3 checkmarks.

All 90 passenger buses are front engine. The most you get with an RE is 84.

Good to know. I go back and forth on FE/RE. FE cools nicely. RE doesn't blow your eardrums out while driving.

Need to buy a scrap bus and add an extra 5 rows when no one is looking. What's the legal limit for not having a hitch?

On two axles, 40 feet is the longest you can go legally.

Lies; as the 84 pax is something like 40' 2".

Saw something on one of the bus driver forums that said 40' was an industry standard not a law. Then went on to show that TN and some other states were amending their state laws to allow "new" (2006) buses that was 42'.

I'm bored; off to google.

VT 46'

ND 50'
MT 55'

Everyone else is 45'

It seems that the government doesn't trust the government. They seem to have the hits that I want to check.

There is a problem with this website’s security certificate.

Ah, that's what I thought might be the case...
The Federal government does not issue permits for heavy haul, oversize or overweight shipments. Each individual state is required to maintain their own set of state regulations.

IDk, anyone could have bought it. Been listed at least a couple times. Dredman bought one. The 5.9 is the only thing I don't like. And the rust.
