Ouch! Didn't see that. I kinda wandered off after I found that they'd supplied a 16-character VIN.

Hey!

Last night I stumbled upon these buses on govdeals, a bunch of transits (I think 34'?) that seem like they're in really good shape. I called the contact (Bryan) today and he was super nice and helpful. Said the buses were only phased out because they got new buses. (Rather than because they were, say, problematic.) Some of them have had their transmission rebuilt, which you can see in the Additional Info: pdfs. The buses dohave governors that make them top out at 55-60mph, according to Bryan. (Can those be removed?)

What do you folks think of them? I like the idea of getting a transit under 40', and these seem like a decent choice (without having inspected them), so I'm tempted to make a low offer and see if it works out.

Here's one, there's a few: https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?f...75&acctid=1130

All of the buses of that type from that lot, according to Bryan, that were listed on January 5, 2018 were running when they got put on the lot. There are a few unlisted ones that aren't running, the maintenance contractors are still working on the ones that don't run, but they will be listed later whether they are able to run or not.

Would anyone be able to take a look at the buses in person? Austin is about 8 hours from me so I technically could, but I'd need to take a day or two off of work and I don't exactly have a keen eye. Bryan asked if someone was going to look at the bus, that they call him first because he works off-site.

When did leaky CA buses become worth this much? Needs jump to run?? But in good condition?

The smog garb is a detriment to an already leaky bus. Am I missing something of intrinsic value in these two buses?

I always report ads that have crazy random numbers in the title that aren't the price.

How deep do they need to be? It's at $1500 with no mention of what the reserve is.
I'd like to see pics of the inside, sounds like a nice set up.

Good thought.

I reply to the ad with a "full price" offer.
