It is a pretty unique body, that one on Craigslist is the only one I have seen like that. It is definitely important to research before you buy anything. That's why I joined this forum. I still have not found a bus I want to buy yet, I keep changing my mind about what I want. First it was a van, then a shorty bus, now I think I want a mid size bus. I'll just keep researching and learning and eventually will find something I want hopefully.

I don't mean to be bullish, but doesn't that look like a red flag?
Especially since conversion was the latter option...

I have never seen a 4x4 bus that size, it looks like it has tractor tires on the rear if you zoom in on the right pic. I wonder if it runs still.

you and me both - lol - I've made on offer on a couple but it didn't take for what ever reason - I do better face to face when doing business
some times an offer that wouldn't be accepted over the phone or online, will seal the deal when you hold a roll of bills out when you make the offer

they said it was running when parked - looks like they removed some wheels for another purpose - I like the idea of a 4x4 bus, but not $4000 worth, plus labour, and who knows if the 4x4 is any good

Craigslist buses

Could be a great deal for someone, says the engine needs rebuilt, it still runs according to pics. Has new tires as well. It's only 2k, if I lived closer I would go check it out. https://kansascity.craigslist.org/ct...891482089.html

I've got a nice 2002 or 2003 Thomas 35 footer sitting at a friend's. Its sorta for sale.
It belongs to forum member Kubla. Hit him up, or pm me and I'll shoot some pics if interested.

man this website is not the best to navigate. eastcoast finally figured out how to pm you. i think.

cute small bus here:
Albuquerque Buy-Sell-Trade
1997 International 3500 Thomas Vista School Bus
$5,900
87114
Your passport to summer fun! Whether you are looking to pull chicks or pull your boat to the lake, this baby has you covered! She comes equipped with the highly sought after 7.3l Diesel powered engine by Navistar and a 4-speed automatic Allison transmission. This combo ensures that you have all the power you need to pull your girlfriend away from the buffet line. She is an International frame and Thomas Vista 3500 body. Only 87,000 miles means she is just getting broken in! The engine and tranny are worth the price I’m asking alone.

Starts the first time, every time and runs down the road great.

I installed a Class III towing receiver so I could tow my boat and trailers. This bus is an awesome way to roll up to the lake with all your buddies.

I’ve owned this bus for over a decade and had tons of fun! It’s great for tailgating, towing toys, hauling all your friends around to concerts and special events, and camping.

It also has great bones for a “Skoolie” conversion!

Your asking price is about double what we are used to paying for a bus like that with no conversion done. Have you verified that mileage, dash is the first thing to have issues in buses and rarely will you find the original speedo in one. 4 speed Allison is probably an AT545, no one here desires one, even if for free. Brings the value of that motor down tremendously.

I lost track by the time I finished reading it. Thought it was another typical come to Skoolie to see if we'll bite. Let us know your plans for the bus and we'll help you find one.

I've never had any issues "figuring out" PM's. I've literally had thousands.

Church bus. Says it has an 8.3 ISC in it; data plate shows as 3116. Don't look like no Cummins to me. Interestingly enough, the VIN decodes to an 8.3 ISC! Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?
