if you are going to buy, make sure you get the width first, anything over 102 inches (8 foot 6 inches) is illegal for private use, cities are exempt from width laws, transit buses are sometimes 9 feet wide which would make it an oversize vehicle anytime you drive it requiring expensive permits

102 is not illegal in CA. There are restrictions on certain roads. Not worth the hassle in my opinion.
