Our beastie died. Need a bus. southern ohio

Killed this 5.9. The bus was only $2500. A new motor installed is more. Looking for something around $2000. Help this Dead family out. Summer tour is calling...Lock'n is near.

So much work in it. I'm nowhere near home or a shop. Just going to get a new bus.

If the tires are good, you might want to keep them

Can't limp it home at 30mph? Granted that's a long haul but easier to replace an engine than everything else. First listing is $1600. Don't know anything about 5.9s. Apparently there are 12 valve and 24 valve.

The block is cracked. Its done. I only have 2500 in the bus. It will cost that or more for a new engine installed. I'm on the road and don't have a place or way too switch out a motor

Thanks. The mechanic we were near when we died upped us from 65 to 90. Not that it will do it, but it's not 65. Are you saying there is a 6th hear it something?

good deal, if it has an MD-3060 in it then it likely has a 6th gear that is computer locked.

if it has an allison 2000 series. and is PRE-2006 then the 6th gear requires mechanical changes and computer changes.

I didnt see what trans you have.

This one is relatively rusty free. It has some front end noise i assume to be leafs rubbing.
