This beloved bus was being converted to a fully sustainable tiny house by my partner and I but we split up and I am planning on pursuing a Masters program and its honestly really sad that I won’t be able to keep the bus and finish it, but I really just don’t have the space or time to be able to afford it on my own. It’s a great project that doesn’t need a lot more to finish and live quite comfortably- especially in the wake of COVID and the coming summer! I am hoping to sell this quickly as it needs to be moved from the farm on which the it is parked on soon. The bus runs and drives, on propane too, which we were really excited for and ended up making the decision for us when picking a school bus to buy.
The bus is partially converted, with almost everything you need to finish it already in it- this includes some tools, lumber, plywood, tiles, foam for a custom mattress, pipes, tanks, solar panels and electrical system, a propane heater, and a wood stove amongst other bits and bobs. We had originally bought the bus in 2018 for $4100, converted it a little during the year and moved in for 2 summers while we worked. Subsequently, we found it hard to manage continuing work, the project and school. It has been parked on a farm in Langley, BC for around a year. All in all we put in around 20,000 on the bus- At this point I just want it to go to someone keen on the project and am not really interested in making any money or profit off of it so make me an offer!!! I’m not currently aware of any major repairs to be done on the body or engine for the bus and we’ve driven it with no problems a few times. We were in the process of transferring the insurance to a Recreational vehicle and have all the paperwork for this- it shouldn’t be too long before it could be declared as so.
We created a website, at the time, that has a hoard of useful information pertaining to the bus’ details and the updates we made (
www.thebusness.wixsite.com). There are also design plans up on it that could really help if you decide to keep a similar floor and electrical/ plumbing plan. I would recommend going through the write ups on the website for extra pics and info but I’ve put in some of the key details below:
