Searching for a Blue Bird TC2000 28ft'er
Hi Everyone,
If anyone knows of a 28ft Blue Bird TC2000 for sell, please lead me to the link, person, auction or car lot that may have one. It can be between 1990 up to 2004 as long as it's a flat nose and Front Engine.
Thank you all,
Kurt

It’s a cat 3126 engine. I just turned 190,000 miles on my 2001- 3126 engine. The last 10,000 were driven by me. I’m a fan!
Peace

Hey Dave,
Mechanically, is there anything that would give you pause or concern with the engine? For example, if I bought that bus as is, had a mechanic look at the engine for parts, service, etc, would it end up costing me more if the last driver/owner didn't do such a good job taking care of this particular engine? I'm more familiar with Cummings 5.9s than the Cats, which is why I ask. I'd hate to assume or draw conclusions on what I don't know.

First of all, the 3126 came before the C7 and that’s a good thing. The C7s are loaded with environmental restrictions 2005 and up.
The 3126 is not as desirable as a Cummins 8.3 or a mechanical 466. I was told it was a good engine by someone here who I respect. That got me over my search for the holy grail motors listed above.
Mine is the 210hp variant, and it pushes my 31.5 ft. bus just fine.
There are lots of opinions about motors around here but I haven’t heard bad things about the 3126 from anybody who has one.

If taken care of the 3126 is as good as any other engine of its type.
I used to turn my nose up at them but then I bought one to flip and fell in love with it.
