Selling my Step Van "Love" Bus in South Florida!
EDIT: I forgot to put the year and model in the title! It's a 1990 Chevy Blue Bird Mini Bird P30 Step-Van.
I was planning on traveling the country, but I've had a change of plans and am traveling to London instead. I'm selling my bus, getting a flight and starting a new dream. I love my bus and hope it goes to a good home. Okay, here goes nothing, I'm going to try to format this as well as possible!
Mechanical
- Diesel 6.2 engine
- Turbo 400 transmission, 3 speed, automatic, new valve modulator (I'm not 100% certain it's a Turbo 400)
- front two tires are very new Bridgestone, back 4 are good condition Goodyear
- relatively new alternator
- relatively new starter and starter solenoid
- some new belts and hoses under the hood
- upper and lower radiator hoses are not installed, but I have them and they come with the bus
- exhaust leak, so the engine can be a bit louder than normal
- three good batteries in the battery case
Inside Living
- old bus roof hatch is gone, we installed an RV vent hatch
- functional, yet not automatic, shower
- single bed
- two benches made from wood and a futon mattress cut in half
- compost toilet in the back of the bus
- desk
- there is a sink, but no running water
- comes with an LED strip
- comes with Goal Zero Solar Generator Yeti 400
- inverter runs through the cab from the battery case to power speakers and charging phones, etc
- one speaker and stereo setup in the cab
- about 6 wooden shelves built
It's being sold as is, where is. I can drive it around Palm Beach County locally, possibly, but not further than that. I've been driving it around a bit to make sure it's good and so far, it's okay for short distance travel. The brakes have been getting a little stiff for no apparent reason, not entirely sure why, but it does start up and drive right now.
Known Issues
- not often anymore, but it seems to stall at low RPMs but it rarely happens now
- transmission fluid leak, but it seems to be pretty small
It's not perfect and it does need some work, but it's a partial conversion and my life is going in a different direction now, so I don't have the time, money or drive to work on this project anymore. As I said before, I hope it goes to a good home
Last but not least, here is a link to the pictures!
I'm asking $5500, but it's negotiable.

Thank you so much! I've been meaning to text you, but I got a new phone and think I lost your number! I hope everything is going well for you, man.
I recently started a business selling musical instruments, accessories, etc online. We're registered in the UK and my business partner lives there!

Cool, I remember you saying you'd went into the music business.
My better half is from Glasgow, Scotland.

Still available? You mentioned it wouldn't be capable of driving long distances? I am from MA so I would have to fly out there and drive it back (but obviously giving what you mentioned above I would have to fix whatever issues holding it up from driving long distance prior to me leaving).. Is the bus located in Palm Beach? Trying to get a better idea of how I could make this work - very interested.

Yeah, man, music is life!
That's awesome! I'm so excited to go to the UK! First stop London, then I definitely want to check out Ireland. I have friends in Ireland!

Yes, it's still available!
About 6 months ago, a few friends and I drove from Palm Beach County down to Key Largo with just about no problems. We had to stop once on the way back because the brakes were overheating and locking up, all we did was let them cool for an hour and drove back the rest of the way fine.
I'm not a mechanic by any means, but I love mechanical stuff. I can't guarantee that it would make it up to MA and am not entirely sure everything that's wrong with it, to be honest with you. Yes, it's located in Palm Beach, to be more exact, currently in Lake Worth.
If you have any other questions or want pictures of anything in particular, send me a message and I can send you my number if you'd like!
