Several Buses for Sale in Idaho City

Hey guys, if anyone is interested, I've got around a dozen buses that are selling in Idaho City at good prices. These were from a fleet that carted around firefighter trainees in Boise National Forest.

There are International DT466s, DT360s, Detroit Diesels, and GMC gas engines. The years are 1987 - 1997, most are in good working condition as they were well maintained but have been parked since the fleet needed to be modernized.

These are not skoolie-converted yet, but many would be great for it.

Price range is 2k - 5k.

If anyone has questions, I can try to get you details on specifics. The buses will need to be picked up in Idaho City.

I'd be happy to post pics, but I think I need more posts first? Unless there's another way?

I do think that there are some genuinely good deals available here as the prices are quite a bit less than what I've seen in other places for what they are.

A lady posted about these in the FB forum, but said the seller would only talk to people within 200 miles so as to not waste time. She made it sound very cryptic and interested buyers had to go through her to get the contact info...

So, if these are the buses and you're the seller then THANKS for sharing this here! You'll make some people very happy.

Alright, let me post a few pics:

Here for instance is a 1992 International with a DT466 engine, it has good tires, rust-free undercarriage, 157k miles, and engine runs good. It was well maintained prior to being parked and could be driven off the lot. This one would probably go for around 4k, but may be able to negotiate some.

Interesting Ross, those are indeed the buses, when was this lady posting them to facebook?

In any case, I'm working with the owner. He's a pretty busy guy and his preference is that people come pick the buses up.

I did just a little over a week ago help a couple of my buddies get into a DT466 and they drove it off the lot with a full tank of diesel, so they were good for ~500 miles.

I'll try to answer whatever questions I can, nothing cryptic!

In all honesty, the yellow ones tend to have the better engines, DT466 and DT360, the green are I think Detroit Diesel and GMC, but whatever floats your boat.

However, if you went for GMC gas, might be able to scoop it up for as little at $1,500. (Though I think there's a question mark as to whether or not a couple of the GMCs are in running condition - so they may be a mechanics special).

Oh, okay, I think I know who it is, lol.

I'm not sure if there's anything quite as low as what she's saying. Maybe one of the GMCs that isn't running?

Thx for info on pics musigenesis, I'll try to post the images directly going forward.

Ha ha, I've already bought the only bus I'm ever going to buy. I just kinda like that color.

What Detroit engines do they have?

Just picked up the DT408 from these guys and couldn't be more pleased. I don't think I can say enough good things about these guys. If you have the means and are looking for a real gem don't hesitate to contact them. The broker and the crew bent over backwards to get me on the road. The broker even helped us with a loose battery connection on my own car while we waited for the bus to get prepped. Awesome bunch of guys.

Hey guys, I appreciate everyone from this site who showed interest, came out to look, and even bought buses, but I have to report that these buses have now sold. I believe each one of them has found a good home, (and I even bought one myself).

Hope to see you all on the road! 🤠
