shell SQ75 watt solar panel for sale

Hello all! I am giving the board first crack at my shell sp75 solar panel. It is used and was in use until recently. It works great. Here is a link to the data and descriptions on the unit http://solarexpert.com/Shell/1-ShellSP75_US.pdf

This unit has a great waterproof cable housing, plastic sealed junction box on the rear of the unit, and aluminum mounting brackets. It is solid and in great shape.

I would like $330 for the unit plus actual shipping from southern BC. I would like to use paypal. Please pm me with any questions. I can get some photos soon.

Re: shell SQ75 watt solar panel for sale

Update:

It is an SQ not an SP 75

Since there was no interest here, it is now posted on ebay. I started the auction at $300 with no reserve. Here is a link

Re: shell SQ75 watt solar panel for sale

wish I would have seen this yesterday.
If I buy this panel, what else would I need to hook it up to the batteries? Or is everything included that is needed?

What I'm trying to do right now is keep my batteries alive for the winter, I figured if i hook it up to solar I dont have to worry about plugging in the bus. None of my electrical is done yet, I got 3 Marine batteries and a Xantrax Charger and i just want to assure that they are still good next spring. (received first snowfall today and its supposed to go down to -5 C tonight.)
If I dont have to go and buy a whole bunch of other stuff to make this panel work, then I'm intersted. Could you in that case cancel the e-bay listing before anyone bids on it? I do have payPal and shipping would be to northern BC.

Let me know what you decide.

Re: shell SQ75 watt solar panel for sale

You would need a charge controller. There seems to be quite a variety in models, styles and prices. I think one that would accomidate this panel is under $150.

In regards to pulling it off ebay, We'll see what your answer is. I am gone until this evening so we'll see if there is no bids. If there is still no bids, and you're interested, yes I can.

Is it snowing up there yet? We got snow last night about 700 feet above us. Brrrrr, september is too soon for snow.

Thanks, yes I'll pass this time. I'll wait till spring and till I'm a littler further in my project. Decided to just take all my batteries inside and keep em from freezing.
Thanks anyway and good luck on your auction
BTW how are you enjoying BC?

No problem, it should sell either way at the price I am asking. Bc is good, but expensive to run a bus, hence the other classified.

Re: shell SQ75 watt solar panel for sale

How much did you pay in Alberta for insurance on your bus, and what did they want here?
Mine costs me $1500 a year registered as a Bus for Pleasure use only.
To get it registered as an RV is to big a pain in BC.
What is the requirements in Alberta for RV?

Re: shell SQ75 watt solar panel for sale

I needed an inspection $120, a bill of sale (handwritten, no extra fees), walk into a registry and tell them it's an RV, they register it as such. I call my insurance company beforehand (ama) and add a vehicle to my plan which is a bluebird RV. I already have one vehicle insured through them so a second vehicle, being an RV they rightly aknowlegde I will not likely be driving her daily and they charge me $168 a year for liability ($2,000,000) and that's it. Unless you need to buy an extra set of plates (not rv specific).

Alberta is great for RV's, BC is Dumb, expensive and very obtuse. Hence me selling mine. I think I'll get a boat in the spring.
