Yeah I think his adjusted price is still very fair for what he's got.
This rig is special for sure.

Bookmobile History
As a Bookmobile Owner my kids got me this book last Christmas. The first Bookmobile Lady is buried in Concord Mass. Gotta have a bookmobile rendezvous in the cemetery some weekend. Haha. Good luck to new lucky owner!

A caution to interested parties, mileage on the tires means nothing on a vehicle like this, the AGE of the tires is the key safety factor. Most RV tires become questionable after about 7 years, all of these are 11 years or more. Any buyer should plan on replacing all 6 tires before driving any distance.
Another issue might be the remark: "engine started and run every few weeks for the past year)" A diesel engine will not get hot enough to boil off any internal condensation unless the engine is put under load. Running at idle every few weeks really isn't doing the engine any good.

This seller is 100% forthcoming and honest.
For anyone critical of the listing or the price maybe go check the prices on beat down buses over at BGA. They're charging the asking price for crappy emissions era swill.

FYI, I just took my wife for a ride around the neighborhood (her first time riding in the vehicle) and the bus drives just like the day I bought it. Which is to say, like a 1995 bookmobile. LOL. But it started right up, the transmission shifts normally, and the experience is exactly how you would expect with no surprises. Even got the engine temp up to normal, BFlinn181.
What I really like about hydraulic brakes is never having to wait for air pressure to build up, no matter how long the bus has been sitting.

Very nice!
I've been letting a few bus shoppers know about this thread.
Currently unconverted emissions era buses are selling at 8-12 grand.
I wanna see this beauty of a beast go to a good home.

Personally, I’d like to see the new owner strip the paint and polish the aluminum skin. Like a WWII fighter plane.

Just wanted to comment and say that I dropped by yesterday to take a look at this since I live close by and I must say that PDBreske was super helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicle. He gave me a tour and pointed out all the good and bad, didn't try to hide anything. You could really tell he's passionate about the vehicle and rightfully so. It seemed to be in great shape to me and started right up with no effort. It will be a great project for sure for the right person! Well worth the look if you're in the market for something unique.

You know , when I mentioned the prices I was seeing when I was in the market, all of them were low mileage (>50k) with fully functioning generators/electrical systems. I didn't mean to mislead you

Awesome! Somebody got a great leg up on a skoolie project. I hope you made the buyer setting up an account here and continuing to post pics a requirement for the sale.

I (the buyer) am here! Caught wind of the post here from Reddit so thought I would check it out. Had some hiccups on the drive home but mostly due to us, not the bus haha. Phil was a delight and very passionate about the vehicle! Had a great experience and can’t wait to start our own adventure!
