Sourcing a new doghouse engine cover?

Got a little over zealous with my floor tear out and cracked the doghouse basically in half, can't seem to find any local graveyards to rob one from unless anyone knows of some in the central FL area.

Bus is a 2002 bluebird 3800 with a dt466e if any of you fine lads had one laying around.

Thanks!

I've looked and they're tough to find. Maybe best just to fabricate something new. Hard to crack steel!

Not that it's probably going to be cheap and this is an older chassis, but did you try an International dealer? About two months ago I put a new dogbox from the dealer in one of the 2013 IC AC buses at work.

is the bus the 02 Bluebird? is it a regular conventional? or a flat nose?

the junkyards up here abound with 466E based busses from the mid 90s up.. and from what i understand all the DT doghouses were the same for many years...

This was unofficially my plan from the beginning, but the more I thought about it the more I appreciated that snug fit with the insulation and whatnot. I figured this bus is common enough there must be someone out there with a donor or something.

Yessir, the 02. It's a regular conventional 3800 body with the 466E. I wish I had some bus junkyards around here, it's proving hard to find anything! Let me know next time you make your way to the graveyard, haha

I would definitely not be opposed to that, if it was possible. Never really thought I'd be able to get a new one though. I'll def have to reach out if this doesn't work out.

Hmmm none of mine have ever had much of a snug fit and the insulation is usually the torn, ratty remnants of insulation.

Finally found one without a doghouse.

Good luck with the search!

I believe I came across one while searching craigslist last night I believe it was for either an International or a freightliner. Unfortunately I was browsing through a few dozen different local craigslists from all over the country so I can't remember exactly where I saw it. I vaguely recall it being located in the southeast but I might be mistaken
