Still looking for a bus in PNW

Well we tried to be patient while looking for a specific bus, but apparently that was too specific. Since we now need a bus ASAP, in order to be able to insulate it before winter, we are now looking for a bus that meets the following requirements.

Anywhere from 1990 to 2003
Anywhere from 9 to 12 window
DT466 or Cummins 8.3
Less than 200k miles
Less than 8000 hours
MT643 or Allison 2000/2500/3000 tranny
Little to no rust
Located in the pacific northwest
Less than $5000

Please feel free to say something if you think these requirements are too specific.

Thank you

Keep a close eye on the auctions. A couple that fit your spec went at auction in Salem a couple of weeks ago.

Harlow Bus sales had a couple last time I talked to them. One of them was in Auburn WA. Cummins 8.3 & MT-643.

That doesn't seem too demanding, especially with peak sales season fast approaching. Many of the buses that will be sold in the next few months are still carrying kids for the next week or so.

There's a 13 window (84 pax) '98 RE BB going in Fernie, BC if you can import - 4500 CAD so dirt cheap in US dollars..

There's a 13 window (It says 56 pax but mine is 13 and is 84 pax - could be an activity bus with less seats) '98 RE BB going in Fernie, BC if you can import - 4500 CAD so dirt cheap in US dollars..

I know. I feel like we should have gotten one of those, but we were being too picky at that time. We were only looking for a 9 window at that time. Someone else on this forum grabbed one of them tho.

I've tried to call 2 of their locations but no answer, and their main line doesn't work lol. I'm gonna keep trying them tho.

What do u think about that price tho? I mean it's an awesome sounding price but I can't help but think that the price is reflective of a giant rust hole or a tired engine or something. I hope they get their phone situation fixed soon so I can just ask them about it

This bus is in Spokane. It is a bit older than you want, it has a Cat 3208. But it is a true classic in design and pretty unique. https://harlowsbussales.com/inventor...89d0fb75e0b23/

This bus is in Auburn. It has a few more miles on it than you wish but it does have the power package you do want. It even has luggage compartments. This bus belonged to the South Whidbey School District. Every trip it made was more than 100 miles so it tended to wrack up the miles. SWSD has always maintained their equipment well. https://harlowsbussales.com/inventor...5fe7929248602/

This one is in Libby, MT. It is an FE but it does have the power package you want. It also has the high roof option. And the price is very attractive! https://harlowsbussales.com/inventor...1ab23a80a8cb2/

Message me if you have any issues contacting them.

My bus came with 150k miles, recent rebuild on the motor, and I paid 2 grand. Price doesn't always mean your sacrificing stuff. I got a lot of bus with an espar diesel coolant heater and recently rebuilt, solid running motor for very cheap. They weren't aware about that it was rebuilt, that the heater was installed, or that both batteries were replaced in 2017 until I came to pick it up

That's why it's easier to go by window count than pass count. You don't know if the count was for 2 adult butts per seat, 56, or 3 small student butts per seat, 84.

I don't know if it would be any different with a bus.

I bought my pickup in BC and imported it into the US.

Took a day jumping through hoops. No cost just red tape.

The toughest part was changing out the fuel tank when I got home. The old one was calibrated in liters and we get diesel by the gallon here...... :😁

Yup, we've been looking at that 2001. That's the one we plan to ask about. They currently don't have miles listed, or size/pictures. If it's the right size and right mileage, we want it. If they don't call me back on monday, we'll call them and bug them. If we still can't reach them then, I'll let you know
