The Bigger The Better

I am hoping that someone can help me. I live in Central NY and most places around me are selling rust buckets with prices tags that are unjustifiable. Can someone help me out by sharing links to reputable used bus dealers? I am willing to travel if it comes down to it.

Re: The Bigger The Better

Craigslist and gov deals are good bets, there are FL dealers although they charge like a $2500+ premium

Re: The Bigger The Better

I've had great luck with buses from Kentucky.
The buses here in Fl are over priced and frankly a bit over-rated. That's just my humble opinion. I got my Ward in Ky and with all expenses totaled cost me less than 2500 to get home with it. No real rust to speak of, and runs like a top. The road trip to pick it up was quite fun.
If I were up where you are, I'd watch the auction sites for a bus in your quadrant of the country. I've been tempted by the Thomas buses from Maryland, but that's just a bit too far for me.
Good luck, and have fun.

Re: The Bigger The Better

Well I bought one from New York State - Quality Bus Service http://www.qualitybusservice.com/usedbuses Peter LaBarge was the sales guy and was very helpful. I bought it sight unseen and he arranged haulage to the port in Baltimore, took videos and photos from every angle, cut spare keys, answered all my questions, didn't give me any salesman crap and found manuals. There is a bit of rust but nothing that can't be fixed.

Re: The Bigger The Better

I always figure they're really high-priced if they don't even publish the prices.
