after a couple years without using it its tIme to sell or part it out. this is probably the biggest bus ever built, it started as a 66 passenger bus then we lengthened it 28", raised the roof 24", and widened it 6" to the max width of 102" we have years and tens of thousands of $$ in this conversion but its time to sell it cheap as it has only been used occasionally the last several years. until this past winter it was always stored in doors.
here's the highlights:
1978 IHC, originally gas / automatic.
converted to 1978 DT466 turbo diesel with propane conversion for extra towing capacity. fully rebuilt, engine, turbo, pump, ps pump, starter, etc.
brand new 6 speed manual tranny
new rear end with 4.10 gears to handle the diesel torque
new front end to handle the weight
72mph highway speeds and i'd drive it across the country tomorrow.
brand new michelin steers, 10R22.5 tubeless radials.
BFgoodrich caps in the rear, excellent tread.
Air tag axle to increase trailer towing capacity and stopping power. good tires and brakes.
4500 watt gas generator, 50 gallon gas tank.
huge RV propane tank.
rear drop ramps / gate to access 20' rear garage.
12' front living area with tri power fridge and roof air
rear has stool, sink, and 4 fold down bunks for sleeping.
very utilitarian but also lots of potential for full living conversion.
over the past 15 years this bus has been party bus, race bus, tour bus, camping bus, moving van, etc. this bus has towed a 26' enclosed trailer cross country several times. rock solid mechanically but she needs some love again. the inside is rough and outside needs cleaning up.
