Wanted: help w/ roof raise California

I am looking for someone to help me with my roof raise . I’m in Los Angeles California and I’m willing to drive someplace close by. I’m hoping to work with somebody that’s already done a roof and has experience with welding as well as the tools needed for welding in a riveting the sheet metal. I do not have any experience with welding but I’m pretty handy and I wouldn’t mind learning a thing or two.

Get a hold of Wess at Transcend Existence on YouTube.

He does this for hire. Expert welder with an autobody restoration background, good sense and a lot of experience. I don't know him, but I've been studying roof raises for over a year, and in my opinion he's the best...

I agree with this. I have watched numerous vids of his on different raises he does. He is a member here, but I don't think active. You can read his raise thread. User name is MuddaEarth, I think.

This will be of no help to you, but I think it would be cool if the skoolie community evolved something like the Amish barn-raising tradition, where a bunch of skooliers would gather somewhere for a day and raise somebody's roof for them.

About a year and a half ago I wanted to raise the roof. I did not think I would have the time, so I reached out to him. I tried a couple of times to contact him and never got a response. Eventually, I ended up doing it myself. My guess is that he gets a lot of requests and picks the ones he feels like doing. Good position to be in if your him.

In my case he said he couldn't get down to FL. Then a few days later posted videos in FL.
