Who wants to buy a rare piece of Detroit steel?

Sad, but true- I must part ways with my 1962 Chevrolet Corvair 95 Rampside P/U truck. A survivor of only 4102 manufactured.

So, who is looking for a cool project rig that deserves a good, loving, restorative home?

I'm running out of time before I hit the road in my '98 IH 8-window bus from NH to TX.

Bottom end overhauled several years ago. Never had the time AND money at the same to to wrap things up.

Surface oxidation with 2 small rot spots, but body's straight and solid.

Somebody make me a reasonable offer, & adopt my baby!

CnP CL listing

I don't have any hen's teeth to sell, but this beauty is nearly as rare! One of only 4102 manufactured!

Three-quarter ton, white on green (With faded red rattle can paint applied to the bed and on roof), all original, 4-speed manual transmission with 61,747 miles on it.

Originally from Oregon, there's some very minor surface oxidation, but no severe rot or cancer, because it hasn't been exposed to road salt here in New England. Some dents and dings, but the body is straight as an arrow, and as solid as granite.

Overhauled the bottom end, but ran out of the time to do the top end, so not currently running. All removed parts included to complete restoring it into a real head turner and road burner.

The upholstery cover is pretty tired, and the prior owner welded plates to the front bumper for a removable, home made hitch that works well, even if it's not exactly cosmetically appealing. Both front tires are leaky.

No problems with it's handling; when it was running the steering tracked cleanly, and the suspension worked just fine.

Been using it for storage, but I now need to find it a new home, as I sadly will no longer have the space to keep it.

Comes with a spare Corvair short block, heads, two generators, and the original shop manual.

There is some cancer backwards from the ramp's hinge, & the expected rot in the battery compartment.

Never really thought much about it when I ran her, but the previous owner re-engineered the entire throttle linkage system. WTH, it worked.

Heat exchangers have plenty of spring left to them and look pretty solid.

Some leakage on the passenger side from split window welt on upper corner of windscreen. Mildly moist under the mat, but rust doesn't seem progressed.

Meaty tread on the rubber, but given their age, I wouldn't trust the sidewalls to be towed on a dolly, it's not being tagged or registered notwithstanding.

Sold, "As Is."

I'm soliciting bids at present, so please tell me what your price range is when you contact me.

E-mail SERIOUS inquiries and offers, only.

Thank you for your interest in acquiring this extremely limited edition!
