And how much are you willing to pay..........I happen to know where there is a 30 footer for sale: Fact is I also know where there is a 34 footer..........most of the glass atop is intact and both are runners. I figure 20 Grand might get it done and I do mean might not a sure thing but an incredible find...........may be the only sightseer still on the planet at 30 feet..............and I'm thinking 7K might get it done for the 34 footer...........bodies are straight both have the pancake 220 cummins and the 5 speed. These Crowns are owned by the same individual they are not currently being marketed or are "for sale"...........but then it seems that in America everything is for sale if the price is right.................

The 34ft would be of more interest and that price seems about right.
If you want, send me a PM with your contact info to discuss more.

Smile Crown pics all through the years

Being a noobie to buses, I went in search of some pics to see what y'all were talking about. I came across this, a pictoral history of Crown from it's start in 1905. I thought others might find it interesting too. There are pics from most model years from the teens through the 90's/Carpenter years. Included are the Skyview, the articulated buses, sleepers, fire trucks, and one that looks like a roofless sightseer.

A buddy had a Crown, mid engine, that looked something like this

We converted it to a live aboard with folding bunks and an area to transport MX sidecar outfits all over the country. It was a retired USPS unit. Cummins engine.
The whole back wall became a folding loading ramp with counterbalance cables.
Got 10 mpg as I recall.

I have a friend that is considering selling a HPO..........as they were called: There were also builds similar to these that were built for Gene Autry and Red Skelton that were the first mobile fill, video and broadcast units in Early Television................and actually Crown was around in Downtown LA in the late 1800's As Crown Carriage here's a shot of my friends HPO
