WTB - cummings diesel bus?

I am looking for a flat front bus with the 6 cylinder cummings turbo diesel engine and bosch injection pump. I think they were in bluebird busses like 1994 and such, but maybe other models and years too.

If anyone can point me to a bus with a good motor and trans for a decent price that would be great!

Thanks,
Caleb

Sounds like your describing my bus, a Blue Bird TC2000, mine is a 91 with a 5.9 Cummins turbo/innercooled with an AT545.

I paid $1850 2 years ago from a local new & used bus dealership.

Maybe start by looking for a bus dealer in your area, if they don’t have one ask them if they know where else to look. I see them on Ebay all the time maybe look there as well.

Good luck!

i've read in more than one place that the 5.9 is an undesirable skoolie motor but let me tell you this....Phills bus has the 5.9 cummings, I have the DT360 international (which is 5.9Liters)...Phill gets almost double the fuel economy that i do, plus he is able to beat me in a drag race, he climbs hills better, and he blows my doors off on the highway by 15 or 20 mph....

I'm a convert...i'd gladly take a bus with a 5.9 cummins

Don't forget the 8.3 Cummins....he didn't specify which one he wanted

Try http://www.unitedtruckbody.com since that is where I got my bus if you run into trouble. I KNOW they had a lot on hand. Also....don't trust the prices on the site as mine was advertised for $2000, but a $1250 check took it.
