WTB Power Steering Pump DT360

I am in search of a power steering pump for a 1988 International DT360. Mine currently decided to blow its front seal. I am in the NE Pennsylvania area and am willing to drive a long distance to get one. I need one by Thursday 08.07.2018

I dont know if these can be rebuilt, but the International dealer said they are a discontinued stock item.

Please PM me if you have one available.

okay....

A mechanic that knows how to repair/rebuild things, not just replace parts, should be able to rebuild, provided no internal damage. Is this thing not pumping or is it leaking?

from the images

looks like one from a dt466 would also work. I am looking at a photo from a salvage yard in iowa says it is from an 87 dt466, looks the same as yours.

find heavy truck salvage yards.

the leak

can you see where this leak is coming from? from the front where the shaft comes out of the body of the pump? the tank where it attaches to the pump body? Is there a plate of any sort that identifies the pump type?

william

I did find several online within a few minutes search, but most were west of the mississippi......

It's coming from behind the pulley, I believe the front main seal. We initially thought it was the reservoir, but we replaced the O-rings and cleaned it all off.. and shortly it began to leak again..this time we noticed it from the front.. its fairly steady leak.

I called the international dealer, but they didn't stock it anymore, discontinued inventory and couldn't point me toward a rebuild kit part number.

So all the truck salvage places are closed.. I found several that had 466 engines and one that had listed a 360..so i feel there is a good chance to find a pump, or if you could the pump type we could look by that and see what pops up. It is possible there is even a new old stock NOS pump on ebay... but with out numbers, hard to figure out....

sorry I could not be of more help.

if you could press the pulley off with the pump in the truck, there is a shot the seal is a standard part and bearing seal supply could have it on the shelf. numbers might be visible on the face of the seal. Is there a hole to look through on the pulley?
