Deadly "Former School Bus" Crash :(

This is horrible, yall.
5 dead, at least 25 injured after early morning bus crash in Wakulla County

Quote:
WAKULLA, Fla. (WCTV) -- We are now learning new details about Saturday morning's fatal crash.

According to the Wakulla County Sheriff, the former school bus ran a flashing red light and was struck by a semi truck.

The vehicles hit a power pole and caught fire. Officials had to shut off the power in the area in order to put out the blaze.

Power can't be restored until the vehicles are cleared.

The Sheriff says this may be the worst crash that the county has had.
Bout the worst case scenario for a school bus crash. T-boned by a semi.

Note to self: don't run flashing red lights.

Prayers for the injured and the families of the deceased. Wow...

wow! unusual for the semi driver to get killed.. also unusual for a fire to occur.. but IO guess since powerlines andsurely diesel fuel or gasoline spilled..

Sounds like a repurposed transport for agricultural workers or some such? Not a skoolie with that many passengers.

The video in the link calls it a "school bus carrying migrant farm workers". The bus paint suggests it had been decommissioned from school use.

Its really common here. School buses get bought and re-purposed into employee transport. Usually for orange groves and agricultural or construction jobs. My first bus was used in such a way before I got it.

So was mine; it went from hauling kids in Connecticut to hauling pipeline workers in Wisconsin, before sitting in a yard in Newfoundland
