Stop sign wiring

I drive an entertainment coach now but driving a school bus on our junk yard in swVA when I was 7. Iím trying to busify my back deck. I have an electric operating stop sign that still has the small light control wired at the end. My Family and I own a body shop and we paint school buses for several counties in nc. Iím trying to wire it so that it opens and flashes. Any advice etc?????

Take the covers off and see where the wiring goes. Typically they need a chassis ground, a +12v that is hot all the time, a +12 that drives the mechanism out, and 2 +12 for the wig-wag lights (if so equipped). That's how mine was wired.
You will need a 12 volt DC source of some considerable amps to operate the motor and lamps.
