Any way to get temporary tags & registration for Vermont without purchasing there?

I have a vehicle I brought out of state (NJ) and it's parked in another state that isn't Vermont, but I want to register it in Vermont, but for now I don't have temporary tags.

Does Vermont offer a temporary tag option?

I don't mind taking a trip up there. I just want to make sure it's possible before I do.

But now I think about it, no requirement to be a VT resident,

whole purpose of temp tags is the vehicle is remote needs to be brought "home"

very unlikely they could deny you?

Nevermind. I must've read something incorrectly. I was able to get a temporary registration for 60 days for $6. I have to now complete the full registration and send it in.
