Full-time Insurance for CA

Me and my wife recently finished our Skoolie and we are having a really tough time getting insurance. National general already denied us and so has pretty much every other place. We aren't planning on driving it around a ton but definitely living in it full-time. Any suggestions would be great and very appreciated!!

Personally I would never tell any bureaucrat public or private I lived as a full-time nomad. In coming years I believe we will see the nomadic lifestyle attracting more and more opposition.

It is not hard to avoid outright lying.

And easy to feed all the computer databases to look like a normal S&B living citizen.

The old adage: "Some things are better left un~said", immediately comes to mind.

Unfortunately, it would not surprise me to find that once you mentioned your full time plan to one company, they share the info industry wide with any/all potential others you might apply to.

I got my bus insured through progressive but had to tell them it was private bus not for hire and show pictures of it with no seats, had to tell them no passengers other than family or close friends and that it’s only driven as a hobby.. policy is fairly cheap with liability and uninsured/underinsured motorist. Has to be a commercial policy and they only run for 6 months at a time but if it gets you on the road it’s definitely worth a try...

No that gives them too much credit.

Plans change too of course.

Some companies use "no more than X days out of Y timespan".

Of course outright lying about anything substantive is A Very Bad Idea.

Finding a sympathetic agent experienced in what you want is always much better than trying to deal with the companies directly yourself.
