Wow would be great if that or similar becomes the norm!

I received my Vermont License plates after following the steps you provided. However, the registration stickers are not included. Does the plate supposed to include the registration stickers or do I have to pay separately for the registration stickers? I paid $76 for Registration, $35 for title, and $6 for Warranty for a total of $117.

The title and registration stickers will come separately from the plates. For me, it was approximately 7 business days from when the plates arrived until the stickers and title showed up.

Sent the form, title, bill of sale and check on 5/2. Anxiously checking my bank account to see when they cash the check. From what I'm seeing here, maybe next week?

Guys,

I thought that I should share that there's always room for trouble! Our registration may have gotten lost in the mail system - between the Burlington VT distribution center and the Montpellier mail carrier sorting.

It contains a sizable check, the original Ohio title, and a few other documents that were expensive and difficult to procure (like the VIN check!)

I sent it certified, of course, but that means only that it'll be "certifiably lost" after 30 days.

That sucks. Hopefully it gets sorted out soon. Can this stuff be mailed via fedex or priority mail or is certified the only way to ship it?

Could've should've definitely gone that route. Ironically I pass UPS on my way to the post office.

I got to talk to an actual human at the Postal Service. She was sympathetic, but sort of said "well this happens all the time" and "they probably forgot to scan it" and "it's more likely that it got delivered than that it got lost".

The green "CERIFIED MAIL, SIGNATURE REQUIRED" tag literally covered the entire face of the envelope, but it wasn't enough.

And there is no way to get more details. No human or machine on the planet has any information on where the envelope could possibly be. It WAS here a week ago https://goo.gl/maps/jXb5g7TPFx7mxEaPA but that's all that is knowable about it.

I could, however, open a case, fill out a bunch of forms, and have a shot at getting my $12 back.

I didn't go certified, just USPS Priority with tracking and signature for all of mine. Never an issue.

Bummer this happened Bert06840! Hopefully it actually made it.

Well at least there's that!
I'm sorry to hear about all of that, I know how frustrating it all can be.
I still haven't received any of the paperwork associated with my registration. I currently have plates with active registration and insurance but still cannot drive my bus because I have no stickers for those plates.

2-26-21 is when I received the plates so coming up on three months. I recently requested replacement stickers and rego from the website. We will see what happens. I'm figuring the first one got lost in the mail.
