Insurance for Transit Home

On saturday we are planning on picking up the bus! The only problem we have is trying to find insurance for the ride home. God sam said they would insure us once converted. But as is the bus only has a few couches and tables. The guy on craigslist has it insured as a truck with progresive, but im not sure how that is possible or if we could also do that. I would just drive it home, but its around 700 miles away, a litle to far to free ball it.
I would really appreciate any and all opinions! Thanks in advance

Go to an actual agent and insure it through Progressive as a commercial vehicle. That's what I've had to do till GS will insure mine.

Do you know the minimum time it can be bought for? A month maybe? I just really dont want to pay to insure it sitting outside my house.

a year is what they told me. Which is ok, since I have to move it around while converting it in stages.
I loathe having to buy it, but am just glad to be legal as it cost me my first bus and thousands of dollars the first time I tried to get into this lifestyle.

EastCoastCB is right; it seems those policies are usually written for a full year. Of course you can cancel and receive a pro-rated refund a few days later after the trip home is finished... They may grumble but it's just the way the system works. It also means you have to be in a place financially where you can float the money for a little while.
