Re: insurance in Texas

Don't know about Texas specifically, but GMAC were quite easy and cheaper than my other carrier.

Re: insurance in Texas

I just got off the phone with GMAC and they will put liability on it. Got a rate of 153.00 per 6 months for liability only. I asked them if there is any difference between the rate of a private bus versus a RV. Said they cant insure it as a RV (even if the title says so) so I didnt think it was too bad. Im not ready to pull the trigger just yet but trying to get my ducks in a row so when I need to pull the trigger it can happen

Was there a specific phone number you called or a specific extension to ask for? I need to get the beastie tagged/titled and insured this summer. All we run is state minimums. Somehow insurance never pays on our claims or they pay so little it's not worth making a claim (rates go up). We were once canceled because we were "due for an accident" and we had never had one at that time. Although I did get a windshield replaced thru insurance once.

Lorna

I called the number listed on their website. I got connected with a lady named Diane. The number to them is....1-800-847-2886 or you can reach her directly at 314-493-8214

She seemed very knowledgeable and MORE than willing to help as well as get a policy written today.

Hope this helps.
