Question Insurance prior to the conversion

So...I live in Massachusetts and have my 25' shortie registered in Vermont as an RV. The problem is that I feel like I've called a gazillion insurance companies and haven't been able to find one that will insure the vehicle before it's converted. State Farm will insure after the conversion if I live in NH and I think Progressive was the other possibility. Geico was a hard no.
I'd like to get it painted before it's converted because of solar panels, etc. on the roof. I'm not willing to drive it without insurance.
Does anyone have any ideas on pre conversion insurance? Thanks!!

Allstate might help. Otherwise get ahold of Kelly here, she will find you a policy.

Thanks for the reply Marc. I have spoken with Kelly, but so far I haven’t gotten anywhere. I should’ve taken better notes, but what I remember is that Massachusetts is the issue.

Also, I think I saw in another thread that Kelly posted that she is out of the insurance business, sadly.

Are you trying to get RV coverage though? Before the conversion is complete, you'll likely need to get a commercial policy (most companies require RV amenities to be insured as an RV). If you don't plan to drive it, call State Farm back and get a commercial comprehensive only policy. ~$13/month and will cover you in case of storm damage, theft, etc.. Once you get the basics installed, then get your RV policy.
