Insurance Problem!

I am trying to rent to own my Skoolie. Right now she is insured in New York State as a moving vehicle driven by myself. If I rent it, it will be stationary and in SC. All of the insurance I have on it is in case of an accident. Does anyone know of an insurance company in SC that might cover my Skoolie as a residence? Just to be more clear, I will still be the owner and other party the tenant. And no, my current company will not.

I don't know if there is a difference between "As a resident" or just Insurance for the skoolie.

In around Rock Hill, SC, I'd recommend Ann Kathryn Bosdale for State Farm. They've worked with me on insuring my Skoolie.

State Farm is who insures it now and they gave me the number of a State Farm agent in Anderson. They said they couldn’t help me. I’ll give your person a call, can’t hurt to try a different State Farm agent! Thank you.

I would imagine that, much like getting the title changed over, in order to do what you're asking, you would also need to do a "conversion" on the bus to insure it as a residence. Even then, you're still likely to run into some problems.



But I would imagine that, if you put the frame on some stacks of blocks, and pulled the axles off the bus, your attempts at finding insurance would be much, much easier. Especially if you took some nice pictures and sent them to potential insurers.

if there is another insured house on the property then you may be able to use that insurance to cover it as an out building or personal property????? If you have a lien on it, like a bank or car lot does, the insurane would be the buyers resposibility?????
