Insurance with AC hanging out/Solar Panels

I spoke with an insurance agent a while back. She said they didn't want to see anything hanging off the bus and she mentioned AC units. I didn't ask at the time if that was window units, mini splits, or both.

Has anyone had any problems getting insurance with a minisplit on the back of their bus? How about with solar panels on top?

wierd since some factory bus A/C's are put on the top of the rear header panel outside.. (this is how all old busses used to be)...

I could imagine they wouldnt want a window unit sticking out the side or rear since the ywould assume its not permanently mounted

Can you show me a picture of this so I can file it away for if they say something about it.

Find a broker to find you a policy. Was literally almost no questions asked about design or function. I told them it was a BUS converted to RV, and they wrote me a binding policy. NO questions about solar, roof raise, AC units hanging off the back, nothing.

I tried to get insurance with the inside ripped out with State Farm. They wanted pictures. They said to come back then the conversion was complete.

Have you tried calling Kelly Newsome @ Allstate?

Off topic: how did you make out in Houston yesterday with the TS?

I spoke them after State Farm said they wanted to see the whole conversion. Allstate uses National General.

I think it was a National General representative that told me about the air conditioner hanging off.
