Re: Insuring in Oregon

Smitty,
This about SF comes as a surprise to me, since I've had all my insurance with them for over 25 years. That's auto, home and life. My infrequent claims have all gone well. The only complaint I can think of is that they don't waive the comp deductible for windshield chip repair as some other insurers do. So those I have to pay out of pocket, about $50 per occurence.

Re: Insuring in Oregon

WOW! I'm surprised to see AllState in second place. I've never had any issues with AllState and claims. Heck, I just got a $400.00 check out of the blue recently from where my "on-the-ball" agent found a way to reduce my premiums...without any prompting from me! My agent is the one that insured my bus to drive it from MA to NC and didn't charge me a thing.

I've been with AllState for about 35 years with few claims. My agents have changed over the years and all have been quite savvy, but it seems that each successive one has been even better than the last so I'm sticking with them for now.

GMAC is now my carrier for TWE and I have Good Sam emergency road service...I can't beat 'em for what they offer for the $79/yr I pay, and it covers all my vehicles, regardless of who's driving.
