NYS DMV on Long Island

Reading some of the forums. Will the bus need to be painted, removing all yellow from the bus for a NYS registration? Home on Wheels? Is that RV plates, will I be able to park it in my driveway? Incorporate villages here in nassau are tuff!

This is something that has concerned me being relatively new to NY. I am still several months away from purchasing a bus but if everything else in this state that I have experienced is an indication I expected registration to be a PITA. I'm originally from IL so I am used to nonsense rules and regulations and never felt less hassled than when I lived in MO. Do they offer temporary movement permit here? Somebody asked that earlier and I don't think anyone gave an answer.

once your register it as "home on wheels" your plates will be passenger plates - just like a car. You can park it in your driveway - depending on you town. I'm in Lindy. The village came by and gave me the OK - once I got my plates.
