MA inspection and registration/title change

Hello,

my shortbus was registered and titled as a passenger van with MA RMV and it was not inspected since it was undergoing conversion and not on the road

Now that I am about to finish the conversion, what are the right steps to get it legally on the road?

should I just get it inspected as passenger van?

Or should I change the registration/title to RV first? (do I really need to change these? I would have to deal with insurance company again?)

Do you have a CDL for driving passengers around?

RV status + seats removed avoids that need.

Plus your insurance should be much much cheaper.

Above is very general, I dunno MA specifics, they may be very different from most states
