Moving from OR to MI with a new bus

Hi everyone - I recently won an auction for a 2002 shorty from a school district and then subsequently accepted a new gig across the country in Michigan - so now I'll be driving from OR to MI with my new bus, which is great but I'm not really certain how to handle the insurance situation for it.

I've got relative living in MI and I'll be able to use their home address to get things registered/insured out there, so my assumption is that I should be looking for insurance in Michigan. I've been seeing a lot of folks recommending for pre-conversion to try and get it insured as a commercial vehicle for private use with either Nat'l General or Progressive but does anyone have a good agent to go through for that that they'd recommend?

Also if you have other advice for getting coverage in this kinda awkward situation I'd totally be open to other ideas!
