Ok, my buddy and I just bought a bus. He's in ohio, I'm in Illinois and the bus is in Tennessee....the farm where we will be converting her is in Virginia...I know right!! I would appreciate all the info y'all could give on this matter...goal #1 is to get temporary tags of some sort (if such a thing exists) to get her to Va...thanks in advance

If you can righteously consider yourself a Virginia resident (at least while you're converting it), use the VIN on the Virginia DMV website, and for fifteen bucks you'll get a three day tag to get it from there to here. But check with Illinois: it is possible that you could retitle it there or that they will have a trip permit like Virginia does.

Call Ricky Burgess (a member here) at Sutphin Insurance in Moneta VA to arrange insurance. Since the bus will physically be in Virginia he can write you a policy. (540) 266-3074

Sigh - you're on your own. I'm just outside Christiansburg, about a three hour+ drive away. I wish you the best!

But I retouch photos, and if you have a shot that is underexposed or that needs a visual distraction removed or some such, you can send me the file. I can at least contribute to the project that way.
