Non conversion in Missouri?

Does anybody know what the drawbacks are to owning a short bus and using it to haul and camp without converting it into a motorhome? The company I work for has one up for grabs. Single axle, non dually short schoolbus.

I'd love to score a nice short bus. Basically they are heavier bigger vans.

Would make a nice weekender for running around doing errands and hauling stuff.
Or camping.

I see Lys of puerile jumping through hoops to get their bus titled as a motor home. In Missouri specifically, is this necessary? Or can I drive this shorty like a van?

Call and ask the DMV or whoever issues registrations in your state.

check to see if you can insure it as a motor home before rushing to fubar the title.

The company I work for has it registered as a van, so I guess it's all good. They drove it for a few years with the stop sign and everything still stock.
