North Carolina inspection

OK, so I'm new to North Carolina and this whole inspection deal. Evidently you can't just drive any old piece of junk on the road! This has already caused me to junk my ancient Toyota whose only fault was an exhaust system held together by tin cans. But I digress...

Am I correct in assuming my skoolie must be inspected after I get it registered? Are there special places that do this for RV's? I imagine I can't just take it down to the Jiffy Lube like with my car. BTW I'm in the Triad area.
