Registering Bus in Colorado

Hi, I am new to the Skoolie life and I would like to know what is the best way to go about registering our bus. We have a bus that was given to us, it's almost 30 yrs old and is a 6 window bus. We want to know if it is best to register it as a RV, (it does meet the 4 requirements needed in CO), or a cargo Van. it will be used for staying over night when my husband performs, he's a musician.

Anyone who has experience with the DMV in Colorado and could give us advise would be greatly appreciated.
