Registration in Michigan - Questions - Help!!

Hi! Does anyone have any experience with registering in Michigan? The insurance wasn't a problem at all. Now just looking to register and registering as a bus or with weight was cost prohibitive.

Who has some Michigan tips?

I was wondering who you acquired insurance through in MI?

What I heard about registering is that if converting a School bus to an RV you need most of the receipts of toilet, beds and other living area purchases to show the secretary of state that is has been converted then they will give you a Recreational Vehicle Title and you can register your bus then. But that's what Ive heard Im also trying to acquire insurance and in the process of converting my school bus.

I got my bus registered as a motor home. Brought in a stack of receipts but they needed receipts for a few specific things. I think I gave a receipt for the sink, stovetop, toilet, and a handwritten note explaining how I acquired the bed. I think I only needed 2 or 3 of those. I went in friendly and confident that it was all good. A few employees did have to come together to figure it out.
