Roamly and Skoolie

I am up to my eyeballs and am leaving this here in case anyone wants to look into it and report back about this as a potential insurance product for skoolies registered as motorhomes.

We've actually been talking to Roamly over the past couple of weeks and we got quotes for our Jeeps, which we will also be renting through Outdoorsy. Our current insurer for our personal vehicles (USAA) won't permit rental, even if the rental period is covered by a different insurer. Roamly's insurance is, my wife says, backed by Liberty Mutual...so they're reputable...and the quotes are quite good.

I'll be talking to our bus insurance rep, through Farm Bureau, today and see what they offer. It looks like we might be switching to Roamly, though, based on what we're hearing from them.

I went on their website but it doesn’t look like they cover converted school buses. They seem to insure RV’s of all classes, campervans and something else. Didn’t leave any co tact I for for them to get back to me. Looks like they specialize in insuring your RV’s to rent out.

I checked for a quote and the first category is "make". There's a comprehensive drop down list of RV manufacturers but no listing for Blue Bird. Thats as far as I went.

My wife and I had a discussion yesterday, with a Roamly agent, and I can confirm that they are not offering insurance on conversions at this time. We asked about the "new product" coming out later this year, in a few states, but she was not able to offer any clues as to what that might be, except to say that they hoped to expand coverage options.
