Selling a Vermont Registered Bus

I registered my bus out of state in Vermont two years ago. It is over 15 years old so I don't have a title just a transferable registration.

I am selling my bus and the buyer is worried about their dmv in NC not accepting the transferable Vermont registration as a title.

Has anyone had any issues with retitling in another state using their Vermont registration? Do you just bring the the Vermont registration and the bill of sale to the dmv? Thanks
