TC2000 Weight Slip

Anyone have an approximate weight for a 9 Window TC2000? I am going to try to get my title changed to Motorhome at the Florida DMV. I have the title for my bus, but It's 2000 miles away waiting to be driven here, so i cannot weigh it.

I guess a weight slip is not needed (they can just ask), but some DMV's don't know better and require it. Anyone want to lend me one just in case? It certainly doesn't have to be certified.

Im trying to get the registration done, so that i can get my permanent tag and roadside assistance setup before the long haul back.

I just did my fl title 3 weeks ago. The one thing that really helped the process is that I had placed the “checklist” found in TL-13 on the top of stack of papers I gave them. That way they could see at a glance what was required for a “vehical class” change.

Also what you will need since it is an out of state title is a vin check form filled out by a dealer, law enforcement or notary public. I would wonder if they would accept an out of state notary but only one way to find out.

I used a local notary for mine but my bus was also local. I found using the notary was easier as my bus would not fit in the dmv shopping plaza parking lot for a tag agency verification of vin.

It went super easy, no problem at all.

My kentucky title did not have the weight listed on it.
I asked for a temp tag so I could drive it to the weigh station then they asked me, "Do you think it weighs 23,500 lbs"?

I said yeah, that sounds about right, then they handed me my title!

Does your out of state title have the weight listed on it?

My bus is a 40' Amtran re so it probably weighs a little bit more but...It worked out for me!

Normally GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Ratio) is requested, that is the limit it can weigh. They don't normally care about what it actually weighs.

Florida registration

I just registered my 34 foot Thomas pusher last month and all that is required is a notarized affidavit stating that your bus conversion has water source, bed, and lighting. If your bus seats are removed, then it can classify as an RV or Motorhome and GVW is not a factor.
