Texas Insurance Question

This isn't so much an issue of who to insure with, it's WHAT to insure the bus as. As background:
I'm taking all the seats except for the first two rows out of the bus (the GVWR is under 26,000 as well), so that I don't need a CDL. I understand that I need to get the bus registered as something other than a commercial bus. However, to my knowledge, you have to have a kitchen, bathroom, etc. to get your bus insured as an RV? I'm not planning on installing these things.
So what should I register it as? Just a private bus? I've heard that there can be problems with that, is that true?

Re: Texas Insurance Question

Insurance is cheaper as a motorhome. Get a weight certain from a truck scale. Get pictures of the inside and go to the tax office. It took about 30 minutes but mine is now titled as a motorhome, insurance is about 400 a year.

I hope that's not true! I will have to tag/title in NM to start with but will switch over to TX tag/title in a year or so when we set up our TX residency in Livingston. I was planning on using GMAC.
