vehicle inspection while converting
We just got our insurance and registration (Massachusetts). We have a week to get the thing inspected. But we've also only just started on the conversion: We've removed all the interior panels and insulation, and taken up the rubber and plywood floor. We wanted to get it registered before finishing the conversion in order to drive it to get work done on it.
What does vehicle inspection look like for a bus conversion? If they just care that the engine runs and the brake/turn lights work etc. like a car inspection, seems we'd be fine. Of course if they want a bed and plumbing, we have none. What should we know before we go have it inspected? (Also, do we need to make sure it is majority painted before inspection or are we okay leaving it school bus yellow for the time being, as long as "school bus" and stop signs are covered?)
Thanks!
