Actual Indiana Rally July 12th to 14th, 2019

I figured I should start a thread with the correct dates for our Skoolie get together near Lebanon Indiana.

I’ll post the Facebook event link too:

https://www.facebook.com/events/2051...256638/?ti=icl

To see a description and particulars, see the older thread with the incorrect dates: Indiana Skoolie Rally July 26, 27, 28th

But I have moved it to July 12, 13, & 14 so as not to conflict with another bus rally.

Actually yes, if you read through the postings you will see that there was a gathering at a campground at “chain-o-lakes planned last weekend of July, so I moved the one at my house to July 12-14 so they would not conflict.

And what about a non-skoolie conversion? I have a small housetruck/toy hauler (box truck conversion) that I hope to have updated and painted or wrapped Tardis blue by then. I have been reading and learning tons from the posters here would love to meet others in the Midwest.

Sure, If you are converting a truck, that is fine.

And if you want to drive an unconverted bus down, that is fine too. I always joked that an unconverted bus is just a big metal tent.

I'm planning on attending your July gathering. New Owner of Skoolie that's being converted. Do I need to register? Not sure my bus will be ready = can you recommend hotels close?

Let me know how to get involved and help to make your event a success!

There is a brand new hotel just south of us. About 2 miles away.

I am hoping for some hot dry weather to firm up the ground. It is possible we won’t be able to park busses as the ground has been pretty soft.

Keep an eye on the Facebook event I posted as I’ll post on there how things are looking as we get closer to the date.

I’ll probably post here too.

I may be there in one of my busses, of course I’m a bus enthusiast and not a converter so mine are pretty much all seats. Though I did do some work to one to make it a mobile dev lab. All depends if I’m on a trip and where I’m at.

Looks like it is dry enough. The bus rally is on.

Let’s do a potluck sat at dinner.
We cut down 5 huge trees so there is plenty of wood for camp fires

My Garmin doesn't like that address at all. I've spotted it using google maps. Garmin thinks 400E is N126th street.

I think that might lead you astray. Google maps found it just fine, looks super-easy. I-65 North out of Indianapolis to exit 133, follow sign for truck stop not Albert S. White Blvd (exit ramp splits), turn right. About 1.5 miles on right.
