Antiskoolie Biased Campgrounds
This summer I’m headed to Yellowstone and Grand Canyon. I plan to stay at state and federal campgrounds along the way also. Am I correct that I dont have to worry about being turned away for having a 19’ shorty? I thought it was only private campgrounds that are snobby?

Look into
https://www.boondockerswelcome.com
For a small yearly fee there are many free places available to park.

National Parks are always welcoming - unless they are full... which does happen. I use Campedium APP on my Apple device - and Freecampsites.net - obscure free camping public land is pretty plentiful out west.
State Parks and County parks have always welcomed me and #theBiggieBus - The only problems I have had was with RV resorts (higher end resorts) and KOAs. Smaller independent Campgrounds and those not catering toward to 1/2 million + RV community usually enjoy seeing a bus conversion.

Wild out there question: Are the "featured" campgrounds in the box to the right, and just below featured threads, all "skoolie friendly"???

My bet is that they are simply advertisements which pay for this site.

I clicked on one that's really local. They don't allow skoolies.

So far we have stayed at State Parks in TX and LA in our 33ft skoolie with no issues. Stayed at the KOA in San Antonio TX with no issues either.
For RV parks, just call ahead and ask. Talked to one in Sacramento CA and they have no problem with it.
Freecampsites.net is great. iOverlander is another good app for free camping spots and more, like fuel, dump stations, and water.
We have a boondocks welcome membership and have used it once in Columbus GA, but will be using it again.
We also have a Harvest Host membership but haven't used it yet.
My wife likes to use the AllStays app as well.

No, we stayed at Saint Bernards State Park. South east of NOLA. About a 15-20 min drive to the city
